The evening approaches
Sky gapping to eat the sun
Round clouds froth in nervous anticipation.
The Siarra Navada smile at the sunset
Wearing mist like a shawl
Shoulders of
Colour-flavoured snow
Over hot Granada.
Like a tongue Granada creeps into me
Lightly unwanted
Deeply enjoyed.
Tasting my confidence
Tearing me away from my elsewhere.
I lose myself completely
Through sharp indifferent streets
Watching stray cats ramble
Over abandoned roofs.
