There is a picture of your mouth and it distracts me.
I am not sure what lies beneath
But this picture
Is soft and sweet and suggestive
It sends my mind to places
That I haven’t visited in years
Countries where the sun glances off of a blue Mediterranean sea
Countries where the mountains whisper with wildflowers smiling up at
An endless sky
Countries that hang so heavy-full with history
That each stone is like a painting in a museum.
This picture of you is like a thief
Your eyes tease me singing
That they just might know where all of my treasures are hidden.
This picture of you
Your eyes and your mouth
Breaks into my day and into my night
It steals my mind away.
